About The Position

GiaCare Inc. is seeking experienced Certified Athletic Trainers for a future opportunity supporting the Human Performance (VIPER II) program at Joint Base San Antonio. This position is being recruited in anticipation of contract award, and qualified candidates will be considered for employment upon contract award. As a Senior Certified Athletic Trainer, you will serve as the clinical lead within an assigned embedded athletic training facility. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations, coordinating patient care, mentoring other Athletic Trainers, and supporting Sports Medicine leadership. You will also provide direct patient care and act as the primary point of contact for your assigned training squadron.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Education Program
  • Current, full, active, unrestricted Texas Athletic Trainer license
  • Current NATABOC certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer in a high school, collegiate, professional, military, or equivalent sports medicine setting
  • Demonstrated leadership experience appropriate to overseeing daily clinical operations within an embedded athletic training facility

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily clinical operations within an assigned embedded athletic training facility.
  • Coordinate patient flow between trainees, instructors, Sports Medicine providers, and the healthcare system.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned athletic training facilities.
  • Assist with quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) efforts.
  • Assist with oversight of patient safety, HIPAA compliance, infection control, and referral management.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained, cleaned, and serviceable.
  • Assist Sports Medicine leadership with day-to-day management of the Athletic Training Program.
  • Mentor and support Staff Athletic Trainers while maintaining direct patient care responsibilities.
