About The Position

CLFC Healthcare and Communications is seeking certified American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to join its Maryland roster for assignments with government agencies statewide. These assignments will be delivered in person at agency locations or remotely via video. The work involves community and government interpreting, including public meetings, testimony, resident appointments, employee meetings, trainings, and formal proceedings like administrative hearings and investigatory interviews. Many assignments are conducted via video, while others are on-site. For longer, technical, or high-stakes assignments, interpreters will work in teams of two. This role is ideal for an established interpreter in Maryland or the Washington D.C. area seeking well-compensated government work with the flexibility to choose assignments. Interpreters can opt for on-site assignments, video assignments, or both. This is contract work on a per-assignment basis, not a salaried position.
