About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.) to operate institutional Point of Care Testing monitors, cell salvaging systems, and Rapid Infusion Systems during critical procedures like trauma and liver transplants. Requirements

  • Certified Anesthesia Technologist Certification, Cer.A.T.T., is required.
  • Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) - American Society of Anesthesia Technicians/Technologists (ASATT)
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Operates the institutional Point of Care Testing monitors.
  • Operates the institution's cell salvaging systems.
  • Operates the Rapid Infusion Systems during trauma and liver transplant procedures, or procedures in which the massive transfusion protocol is initiated with minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of hemodynamics as it pertains to invasive line placement.
  • Performs non-routine tasks that significantly impact team's performance with minimal guidance.
  • Conducts research and analysis to solve some non-routine problems.
  • Provides informal guidance and support to less experienced team members.
