Boeing's Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness is seeking a Certification System Product Owner to join their team in Everett, WA. The mission of the Certification Enterprise Tools team is to develop, implement, and oversee certification software tools that ensure the compliance and safety of all of Boeing’s products. Our team of experienced engineers and technical analysts use expertise in systems engineering and problem-solving to navigate regulatory requirements and develop and guide the certification processes solutions in an autonomous atmosphere. The team enjoys problem solving through, developing action, data analysis and driving systems level solutions. It is a dynamic and highly visible place of work. The teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate (Level 2), Mid-Level (Level 3), or Senior (Level 4) Certification System Product Owner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Associate (Level 2): 2+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Mid-Level (Level 3): 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Senior (Level 4): 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working directly with the FAA and/or ODA on Type Certification projects
  • Experience dealing with regulatory agencies or federal regulations
  • Experience working with industry standards and regulations such as AS9100, Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Parts 21, 25 and 183, FAA Order 8100.15, and FAA Order 8110.4C
  • Experience working directly with the FAA or and ODA on type Certification projects
  • Experience using technological tools (e.g., PC's, web sites) and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data relevant to workloads, responsibilities, problem identifications and resolutions
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders

Responsibilities

  • Develops and documents standardized test methods and processes to ensure repeatability and productivity
  • Contributing cross-functional teams resulting in resolution of technical issues
  • Coordinate technical messaging and partnering with the FAA on regulatory issues
  • Developing strategic action plans and executing those plans through completion
  • Own, manage, and have/develop technical aptitude to enable execution of process/procedure documents (BPM, BPIs, D6s, D950s, etc.)
  • Ensure proper technical coordination across products, platforms and functional areas to promote culture of compliance to requirements and application of procedures and FAA guidance
  • Enable effective changes and efficient solutions across the Certification value stream
