About The Position

As part of the Player Certification team, you will assist with the check-in process for players and coaches at youth basketball tournaments using our in-house platform, The Passport. You’ll help verify documents, issue wristbands, and support roster updates to ensure all participants are properly certified and ready to compete. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced sports environment.

Requirements

Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekend events
Strong attention to detail when reviewing rosters, and eligibility requirements
Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable interacting with coaches, players, and staff in a professional manner
Quick learner with the ability to follow processes and enforce guidelines consistently
Comfortable using tablets and learning new systems

Nice To Haves

Experience in youth sports or familiarity with basketball environments
Experience verifying documents or handling sensitive information

Responsibilities

Check in players and coaches using the Passport platform.
Verify player age and grade documentation (birth certificates, report cards, etc.).
Conduct photo verification for player profiles when needed.
Distribute wristbands, coach stamps, and awards.
Manage roster updates and communicate with event staff.
Ensure Passport signage and materials are properly displayed.
Communicate clearly and professionally with teams, parents, and staff.
Encourage players to purchase Passports if they haven't already.
Support Certification Leads, Tournament Managers, and general event operations as needed.
