About The Position

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Certification Engineer. This is a full-time, contract position for 12 months, located in Atlanta, GA. As a Certification Engineer, you will be responsible for developing certification plans, compliance checklists, and conformity inspection plans. You will also develop substantiation reports and test plans/reports for flammability and cabin safety. Additionally, you will draft certification presentations for all meetings, manage small STC/PMA projects, and coordinate responses to inquiries and airworthiness concerns. Identifying applicable airworthiness requirements for design changes and supporting the relationship with FAA regulatory agencies through project presentations are key aspects of this role. You will also interface with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders regarding certification of modification projects.

Requirements

• 4 to 7 years of work experience in an engineering role. Engineering internships and Co-op assignments may be applied to experience requirements.
• Working knowledge of FAR regulations and aircraft certification.
• Experience preparing and reviewing certification documents (e.g., PSCP, test plans).
• Experience working with FAA DER’s & DAR’s.

Nice To Haves

• B.S. in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related scientific field.
• Knowledge of aircraft interiors.
• Experience as a certification engineer, design engineer, or substantiation engineer.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate responses to inquiries, significant certification issues, and airworthiness concerns.
• Identify applicable airworthiness requirements for proposed major design changes.
• Support the relationship with FAA regulatory agencies via project presentations.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and other project stakeholders pertaining to certification of modification projects.
