About The Position

University Registrar Services seeks a Certification Coordinator to support academic records management, degree progress evaluation, academic policy, and student records compliance, with a focus on athletic certification. This role maintains and reviews academic records, applies university policy, supports FERPA compliance, and ensures compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA eligibility standards for student-athletes. Working closely with Sun Devil Athletics, the Faculty Athletics Representative, and campus partners, the Certification Coordinator serves as the university's primary academic certification specialist for student-athletes — ensuring accurate records, evaluating degree progress, interpreting eligibility requirements, and maintaining audit-ready certification processes. The Coordinator also supports broader Registrar functions, including FERPA compliance and records integrity — tracking and documenting FERPA-related requests and compliance matters, and assisting with identity theft and suspected fraud cases involving student records, working with university partners to ensure these are documented, researched, and resolved per policy.
