About The Position

Coordinates and administers the student certification program and advises current and prospective students. Responsibilities: -Advises current and prospective students regarding certification process, degree plan requirements and retention policies. -Provides guidance and advice to students on academic success strategies and course selection, major, and career exploration; monitors student progress. -Inputs student data into State and federal websites for State licensing and certification. -Analyzes, processes, and verifies student degree plans, transfer credit applicability, student teaching applications, graduation applications, appeals, and major changes. -Reviews and analyzes student data for accuracy; and assists with data collection for State and federal reporting. -Provides assistance to satellite campus advisors with complex student cases and incomplete student records regarding Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements and procedures. -Assists with recruiting events. -Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Education: -Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. -One year of related experience. All positions are security-sensitive.   • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of related experience.
