About The Position

The pay for the position has been updated to $2600 monthly. Coordinates and administers the student certification program and advises current and prospective students.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of related experience.
• All positions are security-sensitive. Applicants are subject to a criminal history investigation, and employment is contingent upon the institution’s verification of credentials and/or other information required by the institution’s procedures, including the completion of the criminal history check.

Responsibilities

• Advises current and prospective students regarding certification process, degree plan requirements and retention policies.
• Provides guidance and advice to students on academic success strategies and course selection, major, and career exploration; monitors student progress.
• Inputs student data into State and federal websites for State licensing and certification.
• Analyzes, processes, and verifies student degree plans, transfer credit applicability, student teaching applications, graduation applications, appeals, and major changes.
• Reviews and analyzes student data for accuracy; and assists with data collection for State and federal reporting.
• Provides assistance to satellite campus advisors with complex student cases and incomplete student records regarding Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements and procedures.
• Assists with recruiting events.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
