About The Position

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) functions in a scrub role for operative and other invasive procedures including establishing and maintaining a sterile field, specimen handling, counts, medications/solutions, implants and instrument processing and may assist with circulating duties, as well as, participate in activities related to standards and quality improvement for the specialty and the department.

Requirements

active national Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
Completion of a Surgical Technician program
Ability to sit for certification exam
BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR
CST: Certified Surg Technologist

ability in one-on-one demonstration of sterile technique
