Reporting directly to the Management Committee and the director of Institutions, the Center Manager’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to planning and administering regular programming and special events for the Centre. This role is responsible for the creation of procedures for the day-to-day operations and activities of the Centre, taking initiatives in creating programs that generate revenue for the center and launching fundraising campaigns. The Centre Manager will provide overall direction in fundraising, participate in fundraising activities by travelling nationally, writing solicitation letters, coordinating events, public speaking, working with donors, and stimulating activities of others in direct fundraising. This role will oversee all Centre expenditures and revenues, prepare and submit monthly financial reports, and coordinate tasks with the Centre committee and subcommittees. The Centre Manager will implement the organization’s rules and policies in the Centre, represent the Centre in dealing with the community and the government, and develop an annual strategic plan and budget for the Centre, implementing the plan and reporting on its progress to the Centre Management Board on a monthly basis. This role will implement the organization’s strategies through the Centre and ensure National objectives are met, maintain all official records and documents, and ensure compliance with government regulations. In coordination with Head Office, the Centre Manager will manage the Centre’s website and maintain online presence, including various forms of social media. The role involves developing educational material and documents for programs and activities, coordinating and distributing activities and schedules with management and administrative staff, and ensuring compliance to government regulations and processes. The Centre Manager will develop budgets and oversee all expenditures and revenues, preparing and submitting financial reports. This role will work in partnership with community organizations, enhance center public relations, develop communications strategies, and increase community awareness. The Centre Manager will establish and maintain relationships with other institutions and organizations in the community to meet community needs and ensure services are not duplicated. This role will develop and maintain a strong volunteer base, signing up volunteers and staff for the center. Additionally, the Centre Manager will research and analyze community needs to determine program directions and goals, monitor and work with the accounting team to ensure all deposits, income received, and financial transactions are appropriately documented, and receive and organize bookings for the center.
