Acting as a primary liaison between surgeons, specialized departments, and hospital personnel, the Centralized Surgery Scheduler facilitates coordination of specialized procedures, addresses departmental needs, and streamlines processes. Furthermore, the role entails maintaining compliance with specialized procedure requirements and ensuring accurate documentation for proper reimbursement, particularly in areas with stringent regulatory guidelines. Collaboration with specialized departments to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to optimize efficiency and quality of care delivery is also essential. The Centralized Surgery Scheduler must handle highly sensitive and confidential information related to specialized surgeries and patient care with discretion and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Moreover, proficiency in emergency response coordination for specialized surgeries, along with providing training and mentorship in specialized scheduling practices, completes the comprehensive skill set required for this specialized role. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One (1) year of experience and knowledge in scheduling, referrals, and workflow management
