Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years in a high-volume healthcare setting, with a focus on diagnostic test scheduling and medical office administration.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with colleagues.
  • A genuine desire to help others, coupled with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proficiency in navigating software applications, including Microsoft Office products, EMR systems, and IM applications. Ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in operating multiline phone systems, managing multiple calls simultaneously while maintaining professionalism.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, multitasking effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and supportive work culture.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations with the ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospital central scheduling environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently schedule a large volume of patient appointments and diagnostic procedures, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and timely access to care.
  • Work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate schedules, address conflicts, and ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Provide outstanding service to patients by addressing inquiries, resolving scheduling issues, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their interaction with the scheduling process.
  • Adhere to privacy and confidentiality regulations, ensuring the security of patient records at all times.
