About The Position

The Central Transport Associate is primarily responsible for the safe transport of patients to and from various clinical, ancillary, and support areas. This includes transporting patients via wheelchair or stretcher, and handling patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, and other special equipment. The role also involves performing other duties related to department or hospital operations, with the possibility of additional assigned duties within the scope of the role.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent required, or completion of Project Search Program
• BLS required
• Must manage various attitudes of customers effectively
• Must be able to work alone and/or in confined or crowded areas
• Must be aware of patient's condition at all times
• Must be able to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions
• Must be able to perform shift work and weekend work if required

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas via wheelchair, stretcher as requested
• Transport patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips and special equipment
• Perform other duties as related to department or hospital operations
• Undertake additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role
