Requirements

  • High School graduate.
  • Ability to read and write and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to plan, organize and deal with multiple projects.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills a must.

Nice To Haves

  • STNA Preferred
  • Some long term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a perpetual inventory of every item stocked in order to insure adequate levels of supplies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the ordering of all medical and therapy supplies. Ensures the inventory is consistent with the needs of all residents, based on physical orders.
  • Requisition supplies as needed.
  • Properly storing supplies, including the rotation of stock with expiration dates.
  • Distribution of supplies to proper departments.
  • Coordinate the return of supplies and equipment to vendors for credit or exchange when necessary.
  • Control cost of ancillary supplies per budget.
  • Charges to bookkeeper for billing if appropriate.
  • This position may have access to protected health information in the patient’s medical and financial records to conduct job duties.
