Elderwood at Burlington is looking for a Central Supply Clerk to join our team! As a Central Supply Clerk, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our nursing, respiratory, and clinical teams have the equipment and supplies they need to provide exceptional care to our residents. From maintaining inventory and coordinating orders to preparing supplies for new admissions, your work directly supports the people caring for our residents each day. At our 150-bed skilled nursing and subacute rehabilitation facility, you’ll become an essential part of the day-to-day operation of the building while working closely with clinical leadership, vendors, and staff across the facility. Position Overview As the Central Supply Clerk, you’ll help ensure the facility is appropriately stocked, organized, and equipped to support quality resident care. You’ll coordinate the ordering, receiving, inventory, and organization of medical supplies and durable medical equipment (DME), while helping maintain appropriate stock levels and minimize waste. You’ll also support new resident admissions by preparing necessary supplies and equipment and ensuring items are available when they’re needed. This is a role where organization matters. Your attention to detail helps prevent shortages, keeps equipment accounted for, and allows our clinical teams to focus on what they do best: caring for our residents. Requirements

  • Proficiency with computers and programs such as Microsoft Office and basic typing skills
  • Valid, current driver license (if assigned)
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.

Nice To Haves

  • DME knowledge and purchasing experience preferred
  • Previous purchasing, inventory, healthcare, or DME experience is a plus—but we're willing to train the right person!

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate supply and DME orders while obtaining appropriate approvals
  • Prepare supply and equipment needs for new resident admissions
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain appropriate PAR levels
  • Receive, document, organize, and stock incoming supplies
  • Complete routine inventory checks and keep nursing and respiratory supply areas well stocked
  • Coordinate equipment orders with approved vendors and track equipment and serial numbers
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient central supply area
  • Rotate stock and monitor expiration dates to help minimize waste
  • Prepare new resident carts and supplies as directed
  • Monitor equipment to ensure it remains safe and in working order
  • Coordinate repairs or servicing of equipment when needed
  • Maintain required documentation, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Assist with supply or equipment deliveries and pickups between locations when assigned
