About The Position

The Central Stores Clerk is accountable for storage and distribution of all stock supplies in the Storeroom. This position will verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments. The Clerk is further accountable for unpacking and examining incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and notifies Purchasing of any damage and shortages. This position receives requests for supplies and distributes to appropriate departments.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years’ minimum experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the receiving and delivery of supplies and equipment throughout the hospital.
  • Maintains inventory of all stocked supplies in the Storeroom.
  • Maintains appropriate stock levels of all Storeroom items.
  • Prepares supplies and equipment to be shipped from the hospital.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
