About The Position
Bartlett Regional Hospital is searching for a Central Sterile Technician to join our Central Sterile Supply team! This position involves receiving formal training and clinical experience to ensure all surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, and distributed in a quality and timely manner. This is a fully proficient level role, with the Lead level acting as the subject matter expert, providing training, coaching, and mentoring.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of appointment.
- Produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to start of employment.

- Experience in sterile processing procedures in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Inventory, decontaminate, assemble, inspect, package, sterilize, store, and distribute surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Ensure quality and timeliness in sterile processing functions.
- Serve as a resource for sterile processing functions and processes.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to new or existing employees.
