About The Position

Central Sterile Technician who excels in this role: Provide inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements. Operate departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety. Provide customer service to all departments with a focus on the patient need. Process and documents all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical, biological and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy. Monitor and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation daily.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Central Sterile Technician (CSR) certification within 6 months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
