About The Position

This is a Full-Time position with a 3:00pm-11:00pm shift. Rotating days and weekends. Pre-Employment Requirements: We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required. Education Requirements: Validation of a high school diploma or equivalent. Two yrs. of college/certification in Central Sterile preferred. Five years of experience in hospital Central sterile preferred. Responsibilities: Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must have amazing customer service Must be great team member Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments according to the standard AAMI processing guidelines Cleans/decontaminates surgical instruments Identifies and assembles multiple types of surgical instruments and instrument sets Receives and process contaminated equipment, trays, instruments and carts from appropriate area Inspects all instruments for cleanliness and condition, removing defective instruments. Operates sterilizers, washers and other processing equipment in accordance with department policy Maintaining accurate and detailed sterilization records Demonstrates knowledge of medical and product terminology having a complete knowledge of sterilization methods, requirements and responsibilities Has knowledge of and observes all infection control policy and procedures at all times
