About The Position

The Central Sterile Services Technician shall be responsible for decontamination, cleaning, assembling, wrapping, and/or containerizing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment and their subsequent sterilization/sanitizing, through steam, gas, plasma or other required methods. This position is also responsible for testing and reporting any issues or problems with the sterilization equipment, preparation and delivery of all necessary equipment and instruments for surgeries, examinations, medical procedures, and medical carts. This position involves two separate areas of Central Sterile Services; Decontamination and Processing. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of communication skills, written and oral.
• Must have organizational, telephone and computer skills.
• Must be able to follow written, oral or electronic instructions.
• Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range.
• Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in medical supply, surgical instruments, and equipment preferred.

Responsibilities
