Central Sterile Reprocessing ( CSR ) Tech , 11am 7:30pm

This full-time position involves working week and weekend days from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with on-call requirements based on unit needs. The role is responsible for the distribution of reusable supplies and equipment, ensuring the decontamination of these items through cleaning and terminal sterilization according to established guidelines. The CSR Tech also assists the supervisor with daily departmental activities, including the orientation of new associates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current certification through IAHCSMM or equivalent required within 18 months of employment.
- Demonstrates skills in communication and problem solving.
- Ensures effective workflow in the department.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with the Central Sterile Supply Department and all Thompson Health associates.
- Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive info including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
- Maintains status as a Certified Central Service Technician.
- Demonstrates the CARES Values & Standards of Cooperation at all times.
Nice To Haves
- One to three years as a technician of Central Sterile Supply preferred.
- No experience is required.
Responsibilities
