About The Position

The Central Sterile Processing Technician Instructor will be responsible for organizing, planning, and developing sound instructional and applicable experiences that support student success. Requirements

• Certification as a Central Sterile Technician

Nice To Haves

• Minimum two years of experience working as a Central Sterile Technician
• Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
• Prior teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Possess excellent computer, communication, surgical and instrument processing skills.
• Develop learner centered lesson plans that integrate varied instructional strategies (including modern technologies and lab experiences) and materials for different learning styles.
• Conduct appropriate assessments.
• Maintain students’ records (grades and attendance) and meet established reporting deadlines.
• Refer students to campus resources when appropriate.
• Maintain professional, ethical, and legal responsibilities.
• Participate in professional development activities to maintain currency in the field as well as credentials/licensures as required by the program guidelines.
