About The Position

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Central Sterile Processing Technician for full-time. The Sterile Processing Tech is primarily responsible for storing preparing, sterilizing, assembling and delivering supplies and equipment to designated area.

Requirements

CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CST (Certified Surgical Technologist)
BLS Required

Responsibilities

Retrieves used equipment and instruments from patient areas; cleans properly and places in designated areas
Inventories Sterilization supplies and reports needed items to clerk for reorder in a timely manner
Assembles, wraps and labels all instruments/trays and prepares them for sterilization
Visually checks all items before placing in sterilizer for package integrity
Unloads sterilizer after each completed load and prepares them for delivery or places in proper storage in CS
