Central Sterile Processing Inventory Coordinator - Long Island ASC
About The Position
Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is seeking an experienced Inventory & Central Sterile Processing (CSP) Coordinator to support its Long Island Ambulatory Surgery Center operations. This role is crucial in ensuring surgical teams have the necessary instruments, implants, and sterile supplies for exceptional patient care. The position is for a Regular Full-time employee on a Day shift, with a compensation range of $41.76 - $63.60 per hour, plus additional benefits. The specific salary will be determined by factors such as scope of role, experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and Fair Market Value evaluation. The role is based in East Meadow, NY, and the facility is expected to open in late 2026.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- CRCST certification (IAHCSMM/HSPA)
- 3+ years of experience in sterile processing and OR inventory management
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in CSP and materials management
- Experience in orthopedic or ambulatory surgery settings
- Leadership or preceptor experience
Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory levels of surgical supplies, implants, and instrumentation
- Coordinate receipt, tracking, and documentation of implants and loaner trays
- Ensure proper sterilization and processing of surgical instruments and equipment
- Collaborate with OR teams, supply chain, and leadership to support daily operations
- Serve as a resource and mentor to CSP staff
- Monitor compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues
