About The Position

Rome Health is seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing & Distribution Technician to join their team. This role ensures surgical instruments, devices, and equipment are decontaminated, sterilized, prepared, and packaged for safe patient care. Rome Health provides a supportive environment and will train the right candidate to succeed, even if certification is not yet obtained.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols consistently
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work overtime as needed
• Commitment to safety and patient care
• Willing to obtain Certification by IAHCSMM or CBSPD

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments, devices, and equipment
• Inspect, assemble, and package instruments following established safety protocols
• Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization processes
• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Participate in flexible scheduling, including on-call, rotating weekends, nights, and holidays
