About The Position

AIR Communities is hiring a Central Rent Clerk to join their centralized operations support team in Denver, CO. This is an in-office position, 5 days a week, supporting central administrative operations. The role is responsible for posting and processing rent payments, recording receipts, and charging applicable fees. It also involves printing final account statements, deposit refunds, and mailing them appropriately. The clerk may interact with current/past residents or community teams to address questions or resolve collection issues. Additionally, the role supports the annual renewal process for operational licenses and assists the Collections department with special projects or final account statements. Essential functions include monitoring and ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation of assigned accounts, monitoring receipts, preparing and recording financial transactions, and analyzing/resolving exception items.

Requirements

  • High School education and 1-2 years of related experience in data entry and customer service.
  • 1-2 years of customer service or administrative experience (retail, hospitality, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly learn and utilize multiple software applications and data entry systems
  • Dependable and proven ability to work independently
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills

  • Property management experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Posting and processing rent payments.
  • Accurately recording the receipt of payment and charges applicable fees to the appropriate ledger.
  • Driving and supporting the printing of final account statements, deposit refunds and mail appropriately.
  • Working directly with current/past residents and/or community team to answer questions or resolve collection related issues.
  • Partnering with the Collections department on special projects or assisting with final account statements.
  • Driving and supporting the annual renewal process of operational licenses for properties and processing the renewals within the budgeted month.
  • Monitoring and ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation of assigned accounts.
  • Monitoring receipts.
  • Preparing and recording financial transitions.
  • Analyzing, researching and resolving exception items.
