About The Position

The Regional Manager serves as a key liaison between OSBA and one of its regional organizations, helping foster strong member engagement, effective governance, and meaningful professional development opportunities. In this role, you will coordinate regional activities, support board and committee operations, and work collaboratively with school board members, administrators, and OSBA leadership to advance the association’s mission and strategic priorities. This position offers an opportunity to serve as a connector, facilitator, and trusted resources who build relationships across Ohio’s educational community while helping support programs, conferences, leadership initiatives, and member participation within the region.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of public education
  • Experience working with boards of education or educational organizations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and relationship-building abilities
  • Leadership skills and sound professional judgment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support activities for the regional organization and Executive Committee
  • Assist in the development of regional goals and implementation of OSBA’s strategic plan
  • Abide by OSBA’s Region Operation Guidelines and perform duties outlined therein
  • Arrange and facilitate regional Executive Committee meetings and conferences
  • Serve as secretary to the regional Executive Committee
  • Advise and consult with school board members and administrators
  • Promote OSBA activities and encourage member involvement in governance and committees
  • Coordinate regional representation on OSBA committees and initiatives
  • Support member retention and engagement efforts
  • Coordinate annual spring and fall regional conferences
  • Serve on the OSBA Capital Conference Planning Task Force
  • Partner with OSBA staff to support hospitality and event logistics
  • Maintain committee assignments and records
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial coordination
  • Prepare reports and communications for regional leadership
  • Ensure regional policies and procedures align with OSBA governance requirements
