About The Position

Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital is searching for a dedicated Central Receiving Supervisor to be a part of our amazing team! This position controls and directs the operation of the Central Receiving department for 110-bed, Joint Commission accredited and CMS certified Psychiatric Hospital. This position is responsible for overseeing the Central Receiving and Storage of all items purchased. In addition this position oversees the timely ordering and distribution of all items including medical supplies and food throughout the facility. This position supervises Inventory Control Associates and Accounting Specialists within the Central Receiving Department which includes scheduling, assignments, and performance evaluations. This position serves as the equipment coordinator for fixed assets and their disposition upon retirement. Oversees an annual physical inventory of stock and supplies along with utilizing materials management software to monitor purchases and requisition of all stock merchandise. This is a tobacco free facility. Chosen applicants must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug and alcohol screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and Bureau policies. Holiday and weekend work may be required. Candidate must successfully pass a background screening.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the purchasing, receiving, inventorying, or shipping of goods.
  • Must successfully pass a background screening.
  • Must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug and alcohol screening test.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as an Inventory Control Associate may substitute for the required experience (Internal Applicants Only).
  • Additional education may substitute for the required experience based on a year-for-year basis or as determined by the Office of Shared Administration Equivalency Chart.
