About The Position

The purpose of this position is to ensure efficient shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling in a high-volume production environment. This position supports operational flow by coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and adhering to food safety and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Must obtain Harmons’ Forklift Certification

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in warehouse logistics, shipping/receiving, or inventory control preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (FSMA, HACCP) and allergen handling is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Unload and stage materials safely and efficiently
  • Pick, stage, and prepare outgoing loads for delivery to stores in accordance with order specifications
  • Coordinate with vendors and drivers to schedule and manage pick-ups and deliveries
  • Accurately record all incoming and outgoing products within the inventory management system
  • Rotate stock and ensure adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices
  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits
  • Report shortages, damages, or inventory discrepancies promptly to management
  • Handle allergen ingredients in compliance with Harmons and FSMA standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of shipping, receiving, and storage areas
  • Follow all food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation protocols (FSMA, HACCP, etc.)
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
  • Adhere strictly to OSHA guidelines and facility safety standards when handling products and chemicals
  • Coordinate with production, sanitation, and quality control teams to maintain an efficient and timely material flow
  • Communicate any delays, issues, or concerns that may impact production or shipping timelines promptly
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and thorough shipping and receiving documentation to support audits and traceability
  • Support the logistics team with special projects and tasks as assigned
  • Assists as needed to ensure the success of the facility as a whole
