About The Position

Marana Health is seeking a Central Procurement Specialist to join the Finance team at the Marana Main Health Center, located in the heart of Marana, AZ. The Central Procurement Specialist is responsible for coordinating the procurement of medical, office, and facility supplies and services to support the daily operations of the health center. This role ensures that purchasing activities align with budgetary constraints, grant compliance, and vendor management policies, supporting the health center’s mission to provide quality care to underserved communities. Marana Health is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 11 sites in Tucson and Pima County. The following qualifications are required: Associate's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Public Health, or related field. 3 or more years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in healthcare or non-profit settings. Fingerprint Clearance Card through Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if applicable and must be directly related to the functions and body of knowledge required to successfully perform the job. This position has the following supervisory responsibility: Does not direct or supervise others. The ideal candidate will also possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Knowledge of procurement best practices and vendor management. Experience with purchasing software, ERP systems, or inventory management tools. Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with diverse teams and communicate effectively. Commitment to the mission of community health and health equity. Experience with 340B program, medical purchasing, or community health center operations. Familiarity with non-profit grant compliance or federal procurement guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the purchasing process for medical, dental, office, and operational supplies across multiple clinic locations.
  • Source and maintain relationships with vendors that support cost-effective, quality, and timely service.
  • Ensure all purchases are in compliance with organizational policies, federal and state regulations, and grant requirements (e.g., HRSA, 340B).
  • Collaborate with department managers to forecast supply needs and place timely orders.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, or quality.
  • Assist in annual budget planning by providing accurate cost projections.
  • Track and maintain inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse or supply rooms.
  • Support sustainability and equitable procurement practices aligned with the organization’s values
