About The Position

Provides technical support to the lab by receiving/processing requisitions/specimens and ordering specified lab tests according to standard operating procedures. Responds to phone requests and enters lab test data into computer.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required
Absolute integrity and accuracy in patient identification process
Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality in the handling of patient information
Must be able to work in a team setting and maintain absolute confidentiality in the handling of patient information

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 semester hours of chemistry and 6 semester hours of biology
MLA certification from a nationally recognized credentialing agency (i.e. ASCP or AMT)
Previous work experience
Keyboarding experience, 40 wpm
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service oriented environment
Ability to prioritize and change tasks frequently and quickly
Able to work in a high stress environment with little/no downtime
