About The Position

You will be the Team Leader and oversee and help with decontaminate equipment, case carts and instruments per specific established procedures as they are received in decontam. Adheres to hospital policy and procedure regarding safety and infection control – including appropriate hand washing. Maintain equipment in a clean, safe working condition, thoroughly cleans & inspects all equipment coming back from patient use according to manufacturer’s recommendations. Prepare instrument trays for procedural use.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Six (6) months of Sterile Processing or Operating Room Technician experience
• Knowledge of Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• BLS required
• Must obtain IAHCSMM certification in one year or risk loss of employment
