About The Position
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring that earpiece orders, invoicing, and shipping containers for completed earpieces are processed efficiently and accurately. The role involves managing incoming mail orders, identifying incomplete orders, inspecting impressions for accuracy, researching remake orders, and accurately entering and correcting order information in the Firefly data entry system. The clerk will also communicate order information verbally, perform final accuracy inspections on order forms, verify customer shipping and billing information, and operate the FedEx shipping computer system. Additionally, the role includes preparing, packaging, labeling, and logging customer orders for shipping, maintaining a filing system for completed orders, and potentially working evening hours and overtime based on production volumes.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
- Ability to follow detailed verbal and/or written instructions and drawings is required
- Attention to detail
- Intermediate computer experience
Responsibilities
- Open, sort, label, log, and organize incoming mail orders
- Identify incomplete customer orders
- Inspect impressions for accuracy, style, material, and any other options listed on the order
- Research “remake” orders via the computer database
- Use the Firefly data entry system to enter order information accurately, and open, close, and edit customer orders. Make necessary corrections in Firefly.
- Verbally communicate order information accurately
- Perform a final accuracy inspection on all order forms (verify hard-copy order sheets against online data).
- Verify customer shipping and billing information and other associated information
- Research and locate customer orders when corrections need to be applied to the order
- Operate the FedEx shipping computer system
- Prepare shipping containers, package, label, and log customer orders
- Accurately and efficiently verify account numbers, addresses, and all other associated shipping information.
- Maintain a filing system for completed earpiece orders
