NLR currently has an opening for a Central Monitoring Station (CMS) Operator on the Emergency Management team. The CMS operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of NLR, including workers, visitors, facilities, and the environment by serving as a critical information conduit between emergency response and the NLR community. To set our new team members up for success, this position includes a six-month probationary period. This is a collaborative time to ensure successful long-term fit, providing dedicated support and training as you become acquainted with your role and our organization. The CMS operator is responsible for operating NLR's Central Monitoring Station, which includes serving as the primary point of contact during on-site emergencies for the South Table Mountain Campus, Flatirons Campus and local leased facilities. Key responsibilities include monitoring fire and life safety alarms, determining appropriate levels of emergency and non-emergency response, contacting 911 when necessary, dispatching internal responders, monitoring security and surveillance systems, maintaining detailed logs, and generating reports. The successful candidate will be a good communicator, problem-solver, and provide excellent customer service. The CMS is responsible for providing 24/7, 365 support for emergency response with ECSs working on three shifts: Shift 1: 2300 - 0730 Shift 2: 0700 - 1530 Shift 3: 1500 - 2330
