About The Position

This is a part-time role for a Central Fill Technician. The primary responsibilities involve following and promoting pharmacy, general safety, and security procedures. The technician will use scanning and counting technologies to identify and select pharmaceutical products for prescription orders, ensuring medication counting devices are replenished. They will assist with maintaining pharmacy systems and technologies for counting, conveyance, packaging, and shipping. Key tasks include monitoring inventory and supply levels, calibrating machines, troubleshooting technical issues with machines, and collaborating with team members to achieve goals. The role also involves monitoring and maintaining the uptime of automated devices, performing basic troubleshooting, creating documentation, and manually filling prescriptions as needed. Verification of product attributes, entering expiration dates and lot numbers, and ensuring correct prescription labels are also crucial. The technician will prepare packages, sort and manifest orders, stock and rotate merchandise, and assist Inventory Technicians and participate in Inventory Audits. Other duties may be assigned in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Pharmacy Technician License in Arizona
Ability to preserve confidentiality of patient information.
Willing and able to stand/walk at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, rotating, reaching, and lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Visual focus such as counting, observing, etc. is required consistently.
Performing repetitive tasks up to 100% of the time.

Nice To Haves

A national Pharmacy Technician Certification.
Central Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician experience.
Prefers to work in a closed-door environment (no adjudication, customer interaction, phone work.)

Responsibilities

Follow and promote proper Pharmacy, general safety, and security procedures and processes of the company.
Use scanning and counting technologies to identify and select appropriate pharmaceutical products and quantities for filling prescription orders.
Ensuring medication counting devices are continuously replenished.
Assist with maintaining the pharmacy system and technologies that facilitate proper counting, conveyance, packaging, and shipping of prescriptions.
Monitoring inventory and supply levels at the responsible stations, calibrating machines, general troubleshooting (jams, blockages) within conveyance, counting, and packaging machines, escalating technical issues, and working as a team to reach team goals.
Monitoring and maintaining uptime of automated counting, collating, packaging, and sorting devices, ensuring continuous operation through basic troubleshooting of routine errors.
Create and maintain documentation as requested.
Manually fill prescriptions as needed.
Verify attributes of the product such as: size, strength, quantity, etc. before processing orders.
Enter or scan expiration date and lot numbers.
Ensure labels on prescriptions are correct.
Prepare packages, sort, and manifest prescription orders if needed.
Stock and rotate merchandise and supplies to limit shrinkage if needed.
Assist Inventory Technicians as requested.
Participate in Inventory Audits as needed.
Other duties as assigned concurrent with all applicable laws and regulations.
