Central Fill - Pharmacy Technician Production Team Lead

About The Position

Acts as a working lead for all production activities of the team members. Guides, trains, corrects, and supports the team on daily activities under the supervision of the Pharmacist in Charge/Group Supervisor. Displays safety minded leadership in all aspects of production/fulfillment. Subject matter expert for production line software/hardware issues, as well as each functional role. Partner with production maintenance technician and IT Specialist to problem-solve and troubleshoot. Responsible for appropriate triaging of issues and escalations, partnering with both internal personnel and external third-party vendors or contractual workers. Responsible for working on the production line (within licensure) if needed. Assist with maintaining the pharmacy system and technologies that facilitate uptime of proper counting, conveyance, packaging, and shipping of prescriptions. Participates in general facilities maintenance that promotes general upkeep and functioning of the central fill facility. Continuously develop process improvements for team direction, production line efficiency, and overall workflow. Work well within a team environment with the General Manager, PIC, Group Supervisor, and other leaders at the site. Ensures site and team compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations, policies & procedures. Completes special projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned concurrent with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Pharmacy Technician License in the Central Fill home state.
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of patient information.
  • Willing and able to stand/walk at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, rotating, reaching, and lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Visual focus such as counting, observing, etc. is required consistently.
  • Performing repetitive tasks up to 100% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • A national Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician lead or manager/supervisor
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician/Assistant in mail order/high volume production.
  • Central Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician experience.
  • Prefers to work in a closed-door environment (no adjudication, customer interaction, phone work.)
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good math skills.
