About The Position

Transports and restocks inventory at offsite locations using a company delivery vehicle. This role involves driving delivery vehicles to transport materials and equipment from Materials Management to user departments at various offsite locations. The driver will also enter orders for needed inventory, prepare items for delivery, maintain the company delivery vehicle and storage areas of offsite locations, and assist with unloading and moving inventory to assigned areas. Additionally, the role requires maintaining appropriate departmental documentation and daily driver logs, ensuring customers have the necessary materials and equipment, assisting with returns, and reporting problems and concerns to a supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy.
• Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Ability to safely operate a midsize delivery van.
• Ability to understand general written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate with customers in a clear and polite manner.
• Problem solving and time management.

Nice To Haves

• Delivery experience, preferred.
