About The Position

The Central Distribution Center Assistant Manager assists the Warehouse Manager in providing materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services. The role supports warehouse operations, helps achieve quality and production goals, promotes a positive and safe work environment, and provides professional internal and external customer support. It includes operating warehouse equipment and may involve working around private offices, where confidentiality must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external customer support, responding promptly to inquiries, concerns, and issues.
• Participate in learning initiatives, including training programs and workshops, to acquire knowledge, refine skills, and stay current on developments.
• Assist receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs and operational and personnel policies and procedures.
• Make recommendations on employment status.
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling them with the data storage system.
• Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
• Establish and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.
• Ensure quality and production goals are met daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
