About The Position

The Central Design Team Lead position manages the daily workloads of the Preston Design department while allocating proper resources to each channel of business. In partnership with the Managers and Supervisors, this position is responsible for keeping a laser-like focus on ensuring every designer receives all design work back with accuracy and according to timelines throughout the processes involved to completion. They will also focus on assisting the design team with problem-solving to resolve all situations to best accommodate the designer’s request and that of the company. This position is full-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Requirements

  • 2-5 years customer service experience required
  • Possesses strong selling skills
  • Appreciates the concept of compulsion for closure
  • Strong computer skills: proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Salesforce
  • Based in Dallas/Ft. Worth area
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
  • Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
  • Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
  • Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
  • Possesses focused attention to detail and solid organizational and prioritization skills while working quickly and accurately under pressure

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred
  • Closet/cabinetry/space design or architecture related experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Allocates resources on the daily schedule to maintain expectations for all design workloads, chat channels, and other projects as needed
  • Serves as the first-tier designer advocate during all escalated designs, projects, phone calls, and partners with Supervisors/Managers when necessary to evaluate the designer needs and educate the team as to how to best fulfill those needs
  • Acts as a liaison between managers and designers in sharing relevant business information
  • Evaluates, motivates, inspires, and models productive behavior, with the goal of elevating skills of the design team, while supporting resource departments, and meeting or exceeding company goals and objectives
  • Provides feedback to the Preston Design leadership team with any department concerns, suggestions, or creative idea solutions
  • Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule
  • Responsible for maintaining discretion related to all confidential/sensitive company and customer information
  • Performs other requested tasks and duties
