About The Position

Sumitomo is looking for a Centerless - Machine Operator to join our growing team. Come learn a unique skill and grow your manufacturing career! This role involves operating one or more machines to perform simple machine operations on highly repetitive and standardized parts and details on metal or other material. Setups are made by others and instructions are given on operating procedures. Work is performed under close supervision and subject to strict process inspection procedures. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations
• Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to follow directions

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating CNC grinding equipment such as; Walter, Ewag, Rollamatic, ANCA, Waida, etc.
