About The Position
This role involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. A key aspect of the job is stocking, straightening, and rotating products on shelves across various departments including Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery. The position also requires processing incoming product, understanding shelf tags, sorting damaged goods, and operating specific equipment safely. Maintaining cleanliness and meeting productivity standards are also essential duties. Training will be provided at the store level.
Requirements
- Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store/Facility Teammates)
- Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store Support Center Teammates)
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
- If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
- Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods., and Grocery Departments
- Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors
- Read and understand shelf tags
- Sort damaged product for credit
- Operate a hand jack, power lift and cardboard baler
- Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler
- Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
- Maintain company productivity standards
- Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management
