About The Position
This role involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers. A key function of the job is regular and reliable attendance. Responsibilities include stocking, straightening, and rotating product in various departments such as Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery. The clerk will process incoming product, understand shelf tags, and sort damaged product for credit. Operation of equipment like a hand jack, power lift, and cardboard baler is required, along with adherence to company safety guidelines. Maintaining cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, and refrigerated areas is also a core duty. The position requires meeting company productivity standards, and other duties may be assigned by store management.
Requirements
- 18 years or older to apply
- Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
- Able to stock 50 cases per hour
- Able to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees)
- Able to push loaded two wheeler (average 100-120 pounds)
- Able to pull a loaded pallet (up to 700 pounds)
- Able to pull loaded stock truck
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)
- Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred for Store/Facility Teammates
- Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred for Store Support Center Teammates
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
- If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance
Responsibilities

- Read and understand shelf tags
- Sort damaged product for credit
- Operate a hand jack, power lift and cardboard baler
- Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler
- Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
- Maintain company productivity standards
