Overnight Center Store Clerk (10pm-6am) - Zumbehl
About The Position
This position involves overnight shifts from 10 PM to 6 AM. The role requires providing friendly and courteous service to customers, maintaining regular and reliable attendance, and stocking, straightening, and rotating product on shelves in various departments including Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery. The clerk will process incoming product, read and understand shelf tags, sort damaged product, and operate equipment such as a hand jack, power lift, and cardboard baler. Safety guidelines must be followed when using equipment, and the cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, and refrigerated/freezer cases must be maintained. The position also requires meeting company productivity standards and performing other duties as assigned by store management.
Requirements
- Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
- Must be able to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees)
- Able to push loaded two wheeler (average 100-120 pounds)
- Able to pull a loaded pallet (up to 700 pounds)
- Able to pull loaded stock truck
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)
- Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (Internal Candidates)
- Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (Store Support Center Teammates)
- Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline) (Internal Candidates)
- If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance (Internal Candidates)
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
- Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods., and Grocery Departments
- Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors
- Read and understand shelf tags
- Sort damaged product for credit
- Operate a hand jack, power lift and cardboard baler
- Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler
- Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer
- Maintain company productivity standards
