About The Position
The Center Residential Advisor is responsible for providing a safe, supportive, and predictable environment for Talking Leaves Job Corps students. They supervise daily activities, monitor progress in attaining performance contract goals, and assist students in adjusting to Center Life. Serves as role model for the student regarding behavior and character.
Requirements
- High school education; or general education degree.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating
- Must possess a cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Certification or obtain within 180 days of employment and maintain throughout employment.
- The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
- Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for childcare.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience working with adolescents is preferred.
