About The Position

This position is ideal for a recent college graduate with a degree in Animal Science or Agriculture, located in Temple, Texas. Performance Foodservice is a broadline distributor that works with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. The Performance team builds close relationships with customers, providing advice on operations, menu development, product selection, and strategies. They deliver food and support independent restaurant owners in achieving their dreams.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent education/experience
• 1-2 Years of experience in sales/marketing, business, or related area within foodservice industry.
• Previous Center of Plate (COP) or Agricultural Degree.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree in Sales/marketing, business or related area.
• Previous Center of Plate (COP) experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain optimum cost of goods sold by leveraging purchasing based on tonnage
• Building relationships with suppliers, sales, OpCo staff, and customers.
• Support sales by providing education, training and demonstration of COP items, as necessary.
• Communicate negotiated deals broadly to take full advantage.
• Negotiate pricing and purchasing deals with vendors/suppliers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
