Job Responsibilities: Mission of the Position: The purchasing Student is responsible for supporting the Center of Excellence Team (CoE). The CoE is a global team covering purchasing process, systems, trade compliance and Finance. Our student will support improvements, implementations, and administration work for existing and new projects withing the CoE Magna Powertrain Group. Key Responsibilities: Complete Forms related to Risk management. Follow up with commodities for missing information Work with plants on monthly data alignments and improvements Work with EU colleagues to understand and support the supplier risk management tasks Enter/ update suppliers in platforms Support automation projects for Spend and Cost Savings Work with IT to support the creation of Power BI dashboards Learn current processes and systems to support improvements, including risk management Maintain lists and create reports Develop knowledge of AI market technologies and deliver bi‑weekly briefings to the CoE Director on emerging trends and industry insights. Learn Trade compliance and support implementation of projects Adhoc analysis Expected Learning Outcomes: Exposure to all areas of purchasing such as processes, systems and reporting Good understanding of cost savings and spend Understanding of supplier risk management Gaining experience working with global plants with multicultural facilities The above is intended to describe the general content of and the requirements for the performance of this position. Enrolled in a business program with an accredited school. Strong knowledge in excel Ability to deal with large data and visualization tools (Power BI) is a plus Strong organizational/communication skills Self-driven Ability to work with others in a team environment Magna Standards: Practice and maintain integrity while following Magna’s Charter and Constitution. Requirements

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
