About The Position

Pete & Mac's Pet Resort is seeking a passionate, hands-on Center Manager to lead a team dedicated to creating a second home for beloved pets. The Center Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily care routines, enforcing safety protocols, inspiring and empowering the team, delighting clients, and managing the business operations. This role requires a multitasking maestro who can handle responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and solve problems with professionalism and confidence.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of management experience overseeing a team of 10+ employees.
  • Hands-on animal care experience.
  • Deep understanding of animal behavior, health, and welfare practices.
  • A proactive, organized, and adaptable mindset in a bustling environment.
  • Stellar communication skills and a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and lead.
  • Financial management expertise, including payroll, budgets, and expense control.
  • Desire to continue education and training with a dynamic pet care organization.
  • Must be able to lift large dogs.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Business Management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team and ensure pets feel safe, cared for, and loved.
  • Oversee daily care routines including feeding, medicating, grooming, exercise, and playtime.
  • Keep meticulous records of each pet’s health and behavior.
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a best-in-class boarding facility.
  • Handle emergencies in collaboration with the District Manager.
  • Ensure the facility meets or exceeds company standards.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of 10+ dedicated animal care professionals.
  • Serve as a liaison between frontline team members and headquarters staff.
  • Build schedules that balance pet care excellence with budget efficiency.
  • Create a positive work culture that celebrates growth, teamwork, and open communication.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to pet parents.
  • Build lasting client relationships.
  • Encourage feedback and champion ways to elevate the client experience.
  • Take charge of payroll, budgets, and financial reporting.
  • Manage inventory and coordinate purchasing.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to elevate community outreach and partnerships.
  • Seamlessly juggle responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Solve problems and adapt to challenges with professionalism and confidence.
