About The Position

The Center Manager is responsible for the overall operations of a Lifeline Vascular Access Center. This includes quality assurance, patient care, financial management, physician relations, safety, risk management, teammate management, and equipment maintenance. The Manager ensures compliance with OSHA, Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards, and other regulatory agencies. If the Center Manager also functions in a clinical role, they must meet the qualifications for that position as well.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Nursing degree or American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (AART) certification as a radiologic technologist with current state license preferred.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred and required within first year of employment or transfer into the Access Center Manager position.
  • ASC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall operations of a Lifeline Vascular Access Center.
  • Ensure quality assurance and patient care.
  • Oversee financial management.
  • Manage physician relations.
  • Ensure safety and risk management.
  • Manage teammates, including hiring, promotions, performance evaluations, retention, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Ensure compliance with standards established by the Joint Commission (JCAHO).
  • Ensure compliance with other regulatory agency standards.
  • Support interventionists and the clinical team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Comply with all Lifeline clinical and business policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate communications between Lifeline and the practice.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for Lifeline to physicians and the practice.
  • Coordinate monthly communication with dialysis facilities to monitor outcomes.
  • Schedule community educational outreach activities.
  • Ensure all supplies are ordered, inventory is maintained, stored, and used appropriately.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Lifeline Product Formulary.
  • Monitor the operational status of all medical equipment.
  • Manage the center budget and inventory.
  • Present and explain monthly financial information to practice physicians.
  • Collaborate with the reimbursement department to facilitate billing of access center services.
