About The Position

Responsible for independently managing a logistics center operation. Autonomously responsible for the warehouse and delivery activities across a multi-state region. Simultaneously supports sales revenue growth goals while fulfilling mission of executing the business in a safe and cost-effective manner, while delivering a high level of perfect order performance (complete & on time to the quality expectations).

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in business administration, operations and supply chain management, or industrial engineering or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
  • Prior operations leadership experience within manufacturing, Logistics distribution/transportation, or supply chain.
  • Displayed ability to understand and maintain safety and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrate skill in developing effective business plans, budgets, and operating plans.
  • Display strong bias toward operating the business via measurement, monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Employee Engagement with strong assessment/evaluation and team building skills.
  • Possess and demonstrate strong ability in process definition, improvement, documentation, and training, and instilling the discipline to operate via those processes in a manner that encourages others to act or embrace a point of view.
  • Demonstrate positive regard for others and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, sales counterparts, management, and employees.
  • Adjust own personal approach to better meet the style needs of and influence others while energizing the team.

Responsibilities

  • Direct management team at center level to translate corporate and regional plans and initiatives into center-specific operating plan and budget, as well as identification and measurement of appropriate performance indicators on which to base ongoing monitoring and management of the center.
  • Identify and develop the skills and abilities of the regional logistics team to meet the needs of the organization and customers. Key attributes they must incorporate into the overall HR strategy include continuous improvement, safety, and individual development.
  • Support the development of efficient and effective processes supporting receipt and storage of enterprise products and their flow through the facility. Achieved by implementing proper facility layout and processes necessary to assure minimal product travel and minimal handling transactions through product delivery.
  • Partners effectively with corporate transportation teams to execute safe, reliable, and efficient deliveries to our dealer network.
  • Ensures compliance of safety standards for the operating facilities and our fleet.
  • Establish and manage the optimal asset utilization plan for the facility and fleet by implementing an improved layout for shops and warehouse and maximize cube utilization of warehouse and trucks.
  • Supports the development and execution of our enterprise logistics and supply chain strategies to continue to strengthen our overall network.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
